1. Who processes your data
The controller of personal data is SIA “TRANS-TUR”, registration number 40003355450, registered on 21.08.1997, legal address: Rīga, Dižozolu iela 27 — 88, LV-1058, Latvia.
Questions about data processing and exercising your rights: transtur@inbox.lv.
No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed — this is not mandatory for a company of our type and size. All requests are handled at the address above.
2. What data we collect and why
2.1. Requests via the website form
When you send a request, we receive only what you enter yourself:
- name — as you introduced yourself;
- phone number or email address — one contact field of your choice;
- type of trip, if you selected one;
- trip description — optional;
- the website language at the time of sending — so we can reply in the same language.
Purpose: to contact you, calculate the price and organise the transport.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not ask for special categories of data (health, beliefs, origin). Please do not include such information in the free-text field “About the trip”.
2.2. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Technical — no consent required. Stored in your browser (localStorage) and not sent to us:
tt-lang— selected interface language;tt-theme— light or dark theme;tt-consent— your answer to the consent request, so we don’t ask again.
Analytics — only with your consent.
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymised statistics: which sections are viewed, where visitors come from, how long they stay, whether a request was sent. Sets Google’s own cookies.
Advertising — only with your consent.
-
Google Ads — measures which of our ads bring visitors and requests (conversions)
and lets us show our ads to people who have already visited the site (remarketing).
Sets Google advertising cookies (for example,
_gcl_au).
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent. You give consent for statistics and for advertising separately. If you give neither, the Google script is not loaded at all. If you agree to statistics only, Google is told that advertising cookies and ad personalisation are not allowed.
2.3. Server logs
The website host and the server that receives requests automatically record the IP address, browser type and time of access. This is a standard feature of any web server, needed for operation and protection against abuse. We do not use these records to identify you.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure.
3. Who receives the data
We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing. Data is processed by service providers without which the website cannot work:
| Provider | What it processes | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | website hosting, processing of the request form and sending of emails, access logs | EU (France) |
| Inbox.lv | the mailbox where we receive your requests | Latvia (EU) |
| Google (Analytics, Ads) | visit statistics and advertising performance — only with your consent to the respective category | EU and USA |
4. Transfers outside the EEA
The website, request processing and email are located in the European Union. Data may be transferred outside the EEA in one case only:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — only if you have given consent to statistics or advertising. Transfers are based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google participates.
5. Retention periods
- Requests that did not lead to a booking — 12 months from our last contact with you, after which they are deleted.
- Requests that led to a transport contract — for the period required by the accounting laws of the Republic of Latvia.
- Google Analytics data — 14 months.
- Google Ads cookies — up to 90 days.
- Your answer to the consent request — until you withdraw it.
6. Your rights
Regarding your data, you have the right to:
- obtain a copy of the data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (portability);
- withdraw consent to analytics at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, write to transtur@inbox.lv. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we are violating your rights, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
